    What it is: The Senior Finance Manager – Technology and R&D Planning plays a dynamic role within the Corporate FP&A team, reporting to the VP of Finance, and provides finance support to the Chief Technology Officer. This role has high visibility and exposure to the executive management team, serving as the owner of the budgeting/forecasting process and as an internal consultant providing standardized tools, processes, analysis, new concept development, and market research related to all aspects of product and service strategy and execution.



    • Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes for all Technology teams
    • Lead multi-year strategic planning and forecast processes for Technology team, assessing market sizing and maintaining Total Addressable Market (TAM) models
    • Be a thought leader to senior finance and business leaders, providing data-driven analysis on viability of emerging strategies and investment proposals
    • Collaborate on strategic initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders within BI, technology, and operations teams to develop tools to measure Return-on-Investment analysis
    • Develop relevant scenarios reflecting the eVestment business, e.g. product mix changes, M&A, growth plans, economic changes, competitive situations.
    • Identify implications of these scenarios to P&L, EPS, external bookings and develop recommendations.
    • Support M&A activities across the deal lifecycle including financial modeling and pro forma financial statement development, business valuation, due diligence, deal execution, post-close integration/monitoring
    • Support executive team and direct leadership team with ad-hoc ROI analysis, new concept investigation, sales / expense analysis, VOC analysis, and launch retrospective
    • Create presentations suitable for executive-level client engagements


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 4-6 years of progressive experience in financial planning experience, analysis budgeting and forecasting, preferably within a public company; candidate will ideally have both professional services (Investment Banking / Valuation) and corporate experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Business, Math, or Statistics required; MBA/Advanced Degree preferred and/or CFA preferred

    • Relevant M&A exposure participating in the modeling, due diligence and integration of acquisitions
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem solving, and financial modeling skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to partner with all levels of the organization, influence stakeholders using data and collaborate in an inclusive culture
    • Ability to build and maintain quantitative Excel models for market sizing, demand, and pricing
    • Experience understanding and translating data into actionable, insightful themes and recommendations for leadership teams, ideally in high-growth software / SaaS environments
    • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
    • Able to work with large datasets using advanced Excel, SQL, or BI tools
    • Very comfortable communicating with stakeholders of all levels -  executives, clients, and data-oriented individual contributors
    • Proven track record of prioritizing and delivering results within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
    • Ability to consistently exercise strategic influence, build consensus, and buy-in while managing different stakeholder needs
    • Ability to perform both external, and internal, market analysis to understanding emerging trends, technologies, and practices
    • Proven ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to help drive your product and business decisions
