What it is: As the Events Marketing Manager, you‘ll work as part of the Marketing team to help develop and deliver eVestment’s events program: EI3, our annual client conference, trade shows, conference sponsorships, eVestment-hosted events including client conferences, breakfasts and regional meetings. You will ensure that events are supported with pre- and post-event communications and leads are well-qualified at first touch. Understand sales process fully and implement processes and integration to ensure revenue from quality leads is optimized through sales hand-off and follow-up.
You will work with the field sales team on integrated campaigns and content for programs and ensure sales tools and nurturing are in place for each event. Identify creative ways to promote our software products and services that rise above the noise of a trade show floor. You’ll also maintain the US events calendar, support client service with client training events (Learning Labs), and work with Marketing operations on forms, landing pages, Pardot implementation, salesforce.com field mapping, etc. to optimize results. Your goal will be to ensure high-quality event experience for attendees and visitors.
What it isn’t: This role is not just about mindless name signage prep and ordering a few catered lunches. This is an integral role within the Marketing team and will work on venue selection, trade show and sponsorship selection, and assist with the implementation of event success metrics as well as order and prepare trade show collateral. This role isn’t routine or unhurried. If you prefer relaxed, quiet days or don’t have a well-developed sense of urgency, it would be best to pass on us and keep looking.
What we need: We are looking for proof of your passion for event planning as a destination career. Having a minimum of 3 years of relevant events planning experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of our organization, and the ability to travel up to 30% and possess a valid passport is a great start. We are looking for a creative thinker to drive our annual client conference to the next level and to challenge the status quo. You are a self-starter who takes initiative to identify opportunities to deliver leads through events programs. You are willing to try new ideas and are capable of selling your ideas internally, creating buy-in from sales constituents and openly reporting on progress and results. As any effective Event Planner, you are highly organized with a strong attention to detail and you are numbers driven. You are able to self-direct and set priorities in a dynamic environment.
