What is it: As a Sales Operations Manager you will be responsible for working directly with Sales team members supporting all aspects of the sales cycle, interacting closely with Legal, Marketing and other departments throughout the sales process. The position offers an opportunity to work with our industry leading tools to help fulfill customer needs.
You will lead our Sales Deal Desk function and drive efficiency and adoption of processes within the sales cycle from lead to order. You’ll work with the marketing team on major campaigns, owning the Lead process. You’ll monitor and review progress with the Sales team, tracking various sales metrics to identify trends and opportunities. You’ll work with Legal, being the gatekeeper for sales, to ensure all required data is obtained and accurate throughout the sales process. You’ll work with cross functional teams to support the sales cycle, increasing accuracy by addressing where data and process improvement can be achieved.
What it is not: This is not a Sales Rep Role. You will not own a quota and will not earn direct commissions. If you’ve never worked with Excel and don’t enjoy working with Sales and Marketing teams, then this role won’t be a good fit. We love technology, metrics, and consultative Sales techniques. This role isn’t routine or unhurried. If you prefer relaxed, quiet days or lack a well-developed sense of urgency, it would be best to pass on us and keep looking.
About you: What we need: Ideally you have at least 5 years’ business experience; experience with a Financial Services sector company would be even better! You have a very strong sense of ownership and you do not need to be micro-managed. We’re very Salesforce and metrics-orientated, so this should rapidly become second nature for you. Also, your relationship-building skills are stellar, just like your sense of commitment. You’re creative in the way you approach challenges and you truly see them as opportunities to excel. You use stress as fuel and you don't mind trying new ideas.
