The Human Resource Generalist, International is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management and regional business leaders in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment and employment law compliance.


Reports to Local Business Management, dotted line to HR Manager in the US



Payroll & Benefits:


  • Monthly payroll processing and administration including regular interaction with payroll company and annual reporting (P11d); including regular accounting department (Atlanta-based) interaction.
  • Management of the company’s benefit schemes (private health cover, dental, death in service, holiday, etc).



  • Under the direction of the Manager, Recruiting, conducts all aspects of the recruitment process: candidate generation, phone screens of all candidates, offer negotiation, reference checks, as well as hiring manager consultation / hiring manager relationships.
  • Builds recruiting strategy for company-wide positions in consultation with hiring managers. 
  • Generates candidate pipelines utilizing traditional and innovative sourcing techniques: social media, Internet mining, employee referrals, networking, career fairs.
  • Vendor management of all recruiting agency contacts. 
  • Active participation in industry networking/sourcing communities (including universities) to leverage connections for current and future opportunities.

Employee Relations:

  • Ownership of the life cycle of the employee from onboarding to termination.
  • Partners with US-based HR Business Partners to implement organizational and people strategies that are aligned to the business strategy.
  • Ownership of personnel file documentation (employment contracts, required forms, work authorisation, etc) and regular Atlanta-based HR and legal department interaction.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Collaborates with other members of HR team to ensure consistency and sharing of best practices. Works across HR functions to support organizational goals.
  • Completes all termination processes, including exit interviews, and closes the communication loop with relevant feedback.
  • Responsible for maintaining/updating International employee handbooks and documentation.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with eVestment policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned.



  •  Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including employee relations, performance management and local employment laws.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn various country employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to accurately interpret and apply policies and procedures to resolve HR administrative issues.
  • Ability to resolve issues, exercise good judgment, ownership, prioritization and display critical thinking.
  • Proficiency in MS Office. Experience with HR Information Systems a plus. Technical acumen is required.



  •  Typically requires 1 - 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, or in a variety of HR roles with increasing knowledge/responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
