What it is: As the Head of APAC Sales for our fast-paced, entrepreneurial company, you will play a significant role in growing new business and attaining company revenue goals. You will develop, coach, and mentor a skilled team responsible for new business quota attainment throughout Asia Pacific. 


You enjoy coaching, training, developing, and motivating high-performing Sales Reps. You’ll develop annual sales goals, compensation plans and budgets, and communicate transparent and accurate results concisely and timely to Sales and Senior Leadership. You’ll be responsible for quoting, negotiating and assisting Sales Reps in closing complex deals. You will manage weekly activities, pipelines, and forecasts to ensure above- quota results. Also, you’ll be coordinating and managing weekly one-on-one and team-wide pipeline reviews, meetings and training sessions. Your focus should also be continually analyzing trends, technologies and opportunities impacting relevant sales goals.  Having mandarin language ability (speaking and writing) and experience in selling into the financial markets (asset management industry) in China is a big plus.


What it isn’t: This role isn’t retail consumer sales, so your work experience must include B2B relational sales (preferably in the institutional investment technology space). It also isn’t mired in paper; if your technology skills (think PowerPoint, advanced Excel, WebEx, etc.) aren’t truly stellar, you’ll have a hard time keeping up. We need you to have a natural talent for managing with professional flair, including a fantastic speaking voice and assertive, confident demeanor. This role isn’t routine. If you prefer relaxed, quiet days or don’t have a well-developed sense of urgency, it would be best to pass on us and keep looking. This role isn’t parked in a corner office; you should be free and willing to travel with sales reps around the region as needed; travel expectation for this role is roughly 30%-40%.

Having a minimum of 10 years in a similar sales manager role in a B2B environment is a great start. You are a results-oriented, take-charge individual with excellent data analysis skills and advanced working knowledge of We want to hear about how you’ve successfully built and nurtured sales teams and how you’ve driven significant growth in an entrepreneurial organization. You’ll have well-honed client relationship and negotiation skills and be able to share examples of how you have nurtured these skills in your direct reports.
